Content: The purpose of this module is to provide students with the theoretical and practical know-how to use computer-mediated communication (CMC), Web 2.0 technologies to evaluate and develop Web 2.0-enabled business models and information systems, as applied to business, education and entertainment. Topics include: Principles of CMC & Introduction to Web 2.0, Communication and engagement in Social Networks, Online teams and collaborative tools, Virtual Worlds – education, business, entertainment, Theoretical review of an alternative space such as a 3D virtual world, Design and use of an alternative virtual space.
Assessment: Continuous assessment module (100%).
