Information Systems Planning (ISTN422) – 16 credits

Content: The aim of this module is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of approaches to designing and managing open-standard, networked technology infrastructures. It is also designed to expose the student to new organisational capabilities, management/leadership principles and sources of value that arise within networked companies. Topics include: Distributed Systems, IT Architecture, IT Infrastructure, IT in the organisational structure, IT Governance, Human Resources in IT.
Assessment: Assignments and/or tests (50%), examination (50%).
